SHIP'S LOG:
Sandy Jr. blew in and out over the last 24 hours. We got some nice gusts and a higher than usual tide, but lost no power and everything seemed to stay in place. The SNOW was a nasty surprise but what we got here vanished in a rather short time leaving only the cold behind. It did however remind me again of why I hate winter. I have never really liked it but as I get older, I like it even less.
I am going to have to get up to ABISHAG and clean her out of all the things that have to go to bed for the winter. It is one of those times that a small craft has a certain appeal. Less stuff in, less stuff out. And not only one must take the stuff out but one has to haul it to the place of storage and store it, which means hauling it out of the boat and packing the car (several times) and driving to the place of storage and emptying the car (again several times) and packing it all neatly so that come the spring you can do the reverse. And I can only put it off for so long, believe me everything is worse doing in the snow.
