HaPpY NeW YeAr ! ! ! ! !

SHIP'S LOG:

     I once again continued my New Year's Eve Tradition of being in bed and fast asleep when the clock struck 12 in this locale. I suppose it is just another sign that I am getting "older" as I have lost any interest in "ringin' "in the New Year," at least where i happened to be at the moment. I did ring it in along with the people in London, England, while having dinner in New London, Connecticut, champagne and all. I did however pass on the funny hat and the confetti.

As for resolutions, I only have four:

     1.) I will make a better effort at keeping the "Log of ABISHAG" Blog more up to date. It is a bit    difficult to keep a sailing/cruising/travel blog going when the primary mode of transportation and the namesake of said blog is high and dry under a foot of snow in Portland. 

      2.) I will avoid eating asparagus. This is an easy resolution to keep as I hate asparagus.

     3.) I will make every effort to winner the Publishers-Clearing-House-Sweepstakes-Win-$5,000-A-Week-for-Life. This will be rather easy to "attempt" as they email me the necessary paperwork several times a week and all I have to do is is hit the "CONTINUE" and "SUBMIT" buttons in the appropriate manner. Doesn't cost a thing, then again, I haven't won anything either. Similarly, I will not risk the price of a Power ball or Mega-Millions ticket unless the prize is over $300,000,000.

     4.) I will finally hook up the water-maker on ABISHAG and find the reason why the pressure water system will not pump water. Fred seems to think there is a leak that is compromising the system and he  should know because he used to be into pumps. Then again he now works for AUTO ZONE or is it ADVANCED AUTO PARTS. I am not sure but has very little to do with pumps. Then again, Fred is a wiz at all things mechanical and is very good at figuring things out. And what is even better, he loves to do the work himself so that it goes right. You can't beat that!
